Ward Christmas Party

Janey is cruising around everywhere and she Loves it!! She's actually walking around furniture...she's killing me. =) She really is the best baby. Even tempered, laughing all the time - she loves Bentley - a little hesitant with Cace...

This was all of the primary kids singing - Cace and Grahm could not be left out!

This is Janey enjoying the Christmas Party. Her Uncle Ryan is holding her.

I thought I'd put the kids together and snap a Christmas picture. Who doesn't love their cheeks squished? LOL!!

How awesome is this face? I'm so glad I captured it.

Look how adorable these two are. I swear it's a love/hate relationship. They will defend one another to the death, but then they fight with each other til there's blood - honestly I don't know what to do with them sometimes.

Snow!!

Bentley looked so handsome before going to school on Thursday so I thought I'd take his picture. The best part was Cace. He loves his brother so much. He is his little shadow. He wants to do everything Bentley does. One different thing - Cace wakes up each morning lately and the first thing he does is put on the Spider-Man mask or the Hulk mask. Today it was the Batman cape and the Spider-Man mask. Even when we took Bentley to school Cace was in his full get-up. I love his individuality.

So Bentley begged all day to play in the snow. Seeing as how I've recently had surgery (like 32 hours ago), things have been a bit slow around here. Finally this afternoon as it started snowing we got them dressed and sent them out. We realized we're in need of some new snow gear for the boys - so we'll be sure to get on that this week. Regardless, I was able to get some amazing pictures of them enjoying the snow. Taking part in the childhood love of snow - catching it with their tongues, eating it, and everything else. Mom and dad - enjoy!!

Then my sweet baby girl. I couldn't leave her out. She just happily crawls around chasing the boys.

Bentley stayed out the longest - he loved every minute of it. I can't wait until it snows even more and we can go out and build a big snowman with them!!

Halloween Time!

We began our Halloween adventure October 26th at our Ward's Trunk or Treat! The boys are in their self-selected Halloween Costumes - which worked out perfect. I thought for sure Bentley would want to be Spider Man or Captain America - but he was dead set on being a pirate. Cace is the best Hulk. He wanted to be the Hulk, he Hulk Smashes all of the time without encouragement, so needless to say, the gloves were the best addition to his outfit!! =) Janey was a witch for the night of the Trunk or Treat, but we changed her costume for Halloween! Here's our family in the back of the truck before the festivities begin.

Bentley is in the stage of having a silly face when he takes pictures - cracks me up!
My beautiful little witch - cutest witch I've ever seen!!
Cace and his Hulk smash hands!!

Bentley giving a thumbs up with pumpkin carving!! Jess was awesome and let the boys use finger paints - Bentley did a great job with his pumpkin face. He's actually turning into quite the little artist.

Cace is enjoying choosing the different colors and painting his face on his pumpkin...he did amazing!

Janey as the sweet little lady bug! This is what we planned on for her costume this Halloween, but Lana had a cute hand me down with the witch costume - so we double dipped!!

This is Halloween night. Everybody's dressed to go (Bryce is taking the picture). He didn't get dressed because he had to go be a policeman the rest of the night. We went trick or treating in our neighborhood and then I met up with Christy and Ryan and the girls. Bryce stayed home with Janey - while the boys and I were hustling from door to door. Brynlee was like sprinting from door to door. We couldn't keep up. I was getting a little frustrated and Bentley says "Mom, look in my bag. I have so much candy. I want to go home." That was all it took. We loaded up and went home. The boys were good with the amount of candy they already had and I learned a lesson that less is more with them. =)

One more fun thing...Janey began crawling on Halloween. It was amazing. She'd been teasing us with rocking back and forth on her hands and knees, but Bryce said Bentley dropped his wood sword and Janey just started hauling across the living room after it. She hasn't stopped since!!

It was a great day. I spoke to all of my family and most importantly my parents. Skype is amazing. I love speaking with them and feeling like they're there. Janey even performed and crawled for them. What a great Halloween!!

Busy Busy

Bentley started school again - his second year of preschool but he loves it. He has his favorite friends "big boy Graham" and Holland in his class. He loves his teachers and he just loves learning. He's getting really good at coming home and telling us all about it. His favorite thing to do is cut things out with scissors - and he's really good at it. I'm a bad mom who never let him have scissors at home because I don't have any little ones - well that will have to change!!

Bryce is home with the kids M-W due to his schedule. It is a life saver for us during this busy time with 3 kids at home. It's been good for all of them - it helps them get to know each other on a different level. Especially Bryce and Janey. Jane's getting HUGE!! She laughs and rolls everywhere and is starting to learn to sit up. It's all happening so fast.

I am sure I'm no busier than the next person.....but life is really crazy right now!! However, in my world there's always a little time for play. We were able to go to Park City a few weekends ago. Bryce had to work so Kip and Jaki were kind enough to help me with the kids while I attended meetings with the credit union. They are an amazing group of people. We talked business but there's truly a sense of family with them. It made me miss my parents a little since my dad has been so involved with the CU for so many years. Either way, Kip and Jaki met me up there with all of the kids and there was dinner, swimming, movies, and shopping involved in the next 18 hours. The kids all did great!!

I need to post once we do things because then I forget. We've spent a lot of time together with the family. We had fun babysitting Reese last weekend while Brad and Savs took a getaway for their anniversary. This month has been packed with bdays. Bryce, Aibree, Kanyon, and Quinten's. Everybody's getting so big!! (Except you Bryce, I don't think you're growing anymore!! hehe)

I can't believe the weather has changed so much and it is already snowing. I'm actually looking forward to a heavy winter - I'd rather lots of snow then none when it's cold. We bought a snow blower - I hope I don't regret it!! Janey is getting so dang big so fast. Not even kidding she's up on all fours thinking about crawling. She laughs and plays and is so fun to interact with - I love my baby!

I love all of my babies. The boys are getting so big. We just got Cace's halloween costume in the mail today - he's going to be Hulk Smash....and Bent's going to be a pirate. They want to dress up in them every single day, which is good I guess. =)

Either way - I'm retraining myself to use my camera for pictures so I can use my laptop (stupid new computer), my phone won't connect to it. Hopefully more posts in the future much more often!!

Back to Work - Back to Real Life

SO......What a busy week. Monday, August 20th was Bentley's 4th birthday!! I can't believe he is 4. It truly does go by quickly. He was so happy and loved opening his presents. It's funny as they get older, birthdays get more fun and they begin to ask for things. He really, really wanted a Captain America themed birthday, so we did the best we could. Cace was amazing about it being Bentley's birthday. He kept saying, "Happy Birthday Bent." He didn't even try to open any of his presents, he just watched and enjoyed the moment. We also went miniature golfing (glow in the dark), with just our family. It was fun.

I also went back to work this week. On Tuesday morning I cried. We were all in the bathroom as I was getting ready and Bryce was holding Jane and I just couldn't hold back the tears. I've been home with Jane for 5 months (almost) with a few work outings here and there and I'm sad to return to work full-time. I'm grateful for a great job - but who ever really wants to go back, right?!

Then Thursday was Bentley's 4-year well child check. He's growing big and strong....he got his pre-K shots. He was so brave. I took his pictures in the cute little Looney Toons gown. He was posing left and right, I love that little guy. Cace is as fun as ever. He's funny and creative and very, very busy. As you can see from the picture posted, he runs and moves and literally is so tired he falls asleep with a sucker in his mouth. I love my little ones. They keep me busy, but I truly can't imagine my life without them. Posted just for my parents, here's a video of Jane. It's her first taste of carrots and she is LOVING them!!

Busy Week..

So last week was pretty busy. Bryce and I kicked it off with a date night and saw Batman at 10:00pm on Monday night....I'm too old to stay out until 1:00am at a movie. LOL!! Tuesday we went shooting, for my first time! I didn't do too shabby, but I'm nothing compared to Bryce. He's a dead shot, he also didn't want to take a picture, but I thought I'd give everybody a pose!

Wednesday was the big day - Bentley got his tonsils out!! Christy was awesome and kept Cace while we brought Jane with us. Bentley was such a champ. He didn't have any hesitation when Dr. Bikhazi came to say Hi and then when Dr. Simmons' came to discuss the procedure and take him back. Bentley hopped in the wagon as fast as lightning and spoke with him all the way down the hall. It sure makes it easier on a parent to not have your child cry when they are taken away for surgery. We weren't back in the waiting room longer than 20 minutes (Bryce was actually getting us breakfast), when Dr. Bikhazi came back to tell us everything went perfect. He said Bentley's tonsils were pretty dang big as were his adenoids, so he removed the whole bunch!! It was another 15 minutes before they called us back to see him and as soon as he saw us he started crying. I think there's just something about seeing your mom and dad when you're confused and waking up (and of course when you're only 3 years old)! He sat on Bryce's lap and recovered really well. Day 1 and 2 post-surgery were amazing. You wouldn't even know Bentley had had surgery, Day 3 however was just as the doctors' and nurse's described - a whole new ball game. Bentley was painful and temperamental, I had to force him to eat and drink. It was bad. By the time the evening rolled around I had confused him finally that if he ate he would feel much better. Sure enough, 30 minutes later he said "Mom, my tummy doesn't hurt anymore. You're the best!" He's so funny.

Saturday I decided to brave it and go to Dinosaur Park with all the kids, plus Shea and her whole gang, Christy and the girls + Brach and Jaki was there as well with Heather and her kids. Jane like exploded in the parking lot, I should have taken a picture. Poor Brach was covered in poop, it took honestly 30 minutes to clean up the disaster. The park was fun. It wasn't too hot with plenty of shade and the kids loved seeing the dinosaurs and posing in all of the cardboard pictures placed around the park. I forgot my camera, so Shea and Christy have the pictures I want to post! It was a free day - so you never feel pressured to stay too long. It was a great week - busy but always fun to spend time with the family!

The last two pictures are from Sunday. Bentley was feeling a little better so we decided to brave church. I had them all ready and he begged me to take a picture of him and Jane - he's hilarious. He stands in the mirror when I'm getting him ready and says "I look pretty awesome huh mom?!" The other picture is Cace's back, his friend bit him really hard in nursery.....ouch!
